Congregation

The Powassan United Church congregation is a tight-knit community of warm and welcoming individuals who come together to worship and support one another in their small town. From the moment you step through the doors of their quaint and charming church, you'll feel like you're part of the family.

Minister

Rev. Fraser Williamson is a wonderful leader and the heart of the Powassan United Church congregation. As the minister of the church, he exudes kindness, warmth, and genuineness in all that he does. His passion for serving the community and spreading God's love is evident in his words and actions.

Staff

Anne-Marie is an essential member of the Powassan United Church team, serving as the church office administrator. Her hard work, dedication, and positive attitude make her an invaluable asset to the congregation.

Church Council

Our mission is to follow Jesus' teachings and other compatible insights, live our love actively, welcome all, create a nurturing environment for growth, be an umbrella community, and serve our communities and the world through various initiatives including Grace House and Mission and Service Fund. History

Powassan United was formed in 1918 when the local Presbyterian and Methodist churches joined to form a “Union Church.”  Powassan United and Chisholm United form a present day Pastoral Charge.  The present building was built in 1926 and has been in use since then.  For more information please visit our history page
